In a day where the average wedding costs between $25,000-$30,000, it is a wonder why couples are looking for new ways to trim some comes. More than half of couples end up spending way beyond their set budget amount. Many couples opt to do many of their decorating projects themselves. This can include creating their own centerpieces, photo displays, outdoor decor, lighting, and more. Learning to make your own kissing balls is just one way to take a few supplies and add to your theme.

The only supplies required are a pair of scissors, some silk flowers or crêpe paper to make your own flowers, paint, glitter, pearl stick pins, glue, and a styrofoam ball. To create these kissing balls, take a straight pin, dip it in the glue, stick it through the flower and attach to the ball. Repeat these steps until there are enough flowers to cover the entire ball. Hang by attaching ribbon to the top with a pin or sit in vases or among a grouping on the table.
