What better source to receive productivity tips than from those that are considered to be the busiest in the world? From small business owners to at home moms, the following productivity tips will help you get back on track.

1. Be Focused

In order to be successful in business or in your personal life, you need to have the ability to focus on what matters most. Maintaining focused on a single ability will allow you to perfect your skills versus tackling a dozen items you cannot handle at an equal level. Being able to prioritize your tasks will bring you increasing success.

2. Avoid Distractions

Technology has offered many people a new age distraction but has also provided many solutions. Apps such as Rescue Time allow you to measure how you spend your time. Running in the background of your computer, you will not even know it is there. Get Concentrating is another app that will help you focus on important tasks by blocking social media sites temporarily.

3. Set Time Limits

Setting time limits on meetings and conversations will save you time. People generally do not need as much time as they ask for. A single topic non operational meeting can generally run for 30 minutes. Half of that time is spent on presentations and the other half for discussions. When people demand your time, offer them only half of it making the time spent more effective.

4. Establish a Routine

Establish routine habits that allow you to be more productive through automated behaviors, helping to preserve your energy reservoir. Force yourself to prioritize, dealing with critical tasks first and working downhill from there.

5. Get up Early

Commonly, successful CEO’s start their day before 6:00am, living by the mindset of “mind over mattress.” Start off your day motivated by getting up early and pursuing your goals. If you tend to sleep in, work in small steps in segments of just 15 minutes earlier each day until you gradually increase your time.
